MUNAP-DGB:Intensification of Awareness Campaign

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, an awareness meeting was held in Yaoundé for Ministerial Financial Controllers and Specialized Financial Controllers of the Centre Region. The ceremony was chaired by its Executive Director, Mrs. GOMA Flore.

This activity, whose main objective is to popularize the mutual society’s new paradigm, is aligned with its 2024 Action Plan. Following a first phase dedicated to the staff of the DGB central structures, MUNAP-DGB is stepping up the awareness phase for field offices.

Targeted stakeholders were informed about the new initiatives of the National Mutual Society for Personnel of the Directorate General of Budget (MUNAP-DGB). This awareness drive, which will extend to all financial constituencies, aims primarily to "make the activities, organization, and benefits of MUNAP better known," recalled the Executive Director. It is further a matter of "dialogue, listening to the grievances and proposals of mutual members to turn it into a modern organization," emphasized Mrs. GOMA Flore.

These sessions also serve as a framework for consultations whose proposals should lead to major reforms, notably regarding the revision of the statutes and internal regulations to enable MUNAP to "adapt to the challenges of its time." It is an inclusive approach that allows for assessing the difficulties related to the proper functioning of the Mutual Society and formulating recommendations for future improvements.

As part of its policy for modernization and transparency under its slogan "MUNAP-DGB NEW LOOK," the current executive committee aims to rely on the digitization and computerization of its management system. This ambition is reflected in the upcoming launch of its website, which will serve as a "digital bridge" for easy, real-time access to all information concerning the management and operation of MUNAP-DGB.

As a reminder, MUNAP-DGB was created on June 23, 2007, with the objective of "maintaining and promoting bonds of solidarity and mutual assistance among its members during happy or sad life events."
